The Go Church Network (GCN) was born out of the mission of Jesus in Matthew 28:18 – 20 (Go and Make Disciples) and the vision of the leadership of Christian Church in the Wildwood. The networks purpose and intent is to birth new church communities throughout the Florida, Nature Coast and the rest of the world. Each of these communities:
Is grounded in Jesus and His mission for His church (Matt. 28:18 – 20)
Has its own leadership team made up of a plurality of Biblical Elders
Has its own distinct personality
Is connected in relationship to the other churches in the GCN.
Working together, more churches will be planted, more people will hear the Gospel, and God’s Kingdom will grow exponentially.
So what does the Go Church movement mean for you? Start praying on how and where God may lead you. Perhaps you’ll be on the next team to launch a new church community. That church could be in your hometown or halfway across the world. You’ll never know until you lean into God and trust Him to Go.
Our mission at Christian Church in the Wildwood is to go, make, baptize and teach in the name of Jesus (Matt. 28:18 – 20). As we follow this mission plan, we also are being shaped to live more like the one that we follow. Core Values are behaviors that we see Jesus and His followers living in the New Testament. They are behaviors that we too must live, teach and celebrate in order to be the community that God designed us to be. CCW has recognized five Core Values:
Making Gods Word our Guide
The Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16 – 17). At a personal level, the Core value of Biblical truth means all of our thoughts and actions are filtered through the God-given lens of the Bible. As a Kingdom community, this value means that all our teaching and ministry correspond with the principles outlined in the Scripture.
Putting God First
When asked what the greatest law in the Old Testament was, Jesus responded with – ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind (Luke 10:27).’ Recognizing Gods position in our life and giving Him the honor that He is due is at the heart of worship. As a Kingdom community, Inspired Worship means that God, His Son and His Spirit are at the center of all that we do.
Sacrificing Like Jesus
Jesus exemplified humility and put our ultimate need, a right relationship with God, ahead of His own life (Phil. 2:3 – 11). As we follow Jesus, we too are called to live a life that puts others ahead of our own wants and desires. As a Kingdom community, this means recognizing our world and our communities needs and finding ways to solve those needs through Christ.
Loving Others Like Jesus
According to Jesus, next to loving God, loving others is the essential ingredient to living out Gods plan (Mark 12:31). As a Kingdom community, this means that we have relationships that are authentic, transparent and life-changing. We are designed to build one another up (1 Thes. 5:11) as we move toward eternity together.
Surrendering to the Spirit
The Holy Spirit of God has made His home in the lives of all those who have recognized Jesus as Lord (Acts 2:38). The Spirit is not a passive passenger but is working both in us and through us – in us to transform us to the image of Christ and through us to complete Jesus’ mission in the world. As a Kingdom community, living the Core Value of Spirit-Led Living means that we are giving the Spirit room to work and following where He leads.
Wildfire is CCW’s 1st – 5th grade ministry. It exists to support parents as they disciple their child to live out the five Core Values: Biblical Truth, Real Relationships, Selfless Service, Inspired Worship and Spirit-Led Living.
Wildfire meets several times each week to connect your child to our monthly virtue through Large Group story-telling and Small Group application.
Sundays: 9:30am – 10:15am and 11:30am – 12:15pm
Wednesdays: Wildfire will begin August 17! 6:15pm - 8:00pm
At CCW, we believe that families should worship together. Each week, we ask that your child participates with you in our Sunday Celebration before being released to Wildfire. We ask that you sign your child into Wildfire before the Celebration begins.
Each month, we focus on a different Biblical virtue. This month’s virtue is:
We’re working hard to make sure that you have the tools that you need to help your child have a forever-relationship with Jesus. Several ways that you can get equipped are:
God Time Cards: God Time cards give you four short ways to make the virtue real in your child’s life this week. Check these out below!
Take Home Moments: Each month, we create a Take Home Moment designed to reinforce our monthly virtue. You can pick up our current Take Home Moment and the kiosk in the Wildfire lobby.
Milestones: Become a Milestone parent by attending a Milestone conference.
